Awesome! What a sweet memory! My favorite memory is every year my mom gives each of us kids a Christmas ornament, a tradition she started with my birth (I'm the oldest) and has continued through the birth of my neice. It's a great tradition because we all had our own ornaments that actually meant something when we started our own households. I'm always excited to see what ornament I'll get this year!

I love the feeling of this photo... like how secluded the area seems to be (reminds me of where I'm from) and the snow on all those logs or whatever is beautiful. Nice work here

If I happen to catch a photo of the train, I'll send it your way-- The 1225, the train that the one in the movie was modeled on, was restored in my hometown of Owosso, Michigan, and they run it every weekend this time of year, all decked out as the "POLAR EXPRESS". (I've never done the ride myself-- far too expensive for a short trip through the farmland.)

Of course, every amateur photographer in the small town has a photo of the Polar Express to their name... I'd just have to find somewhere that 15 other people haven't camped out along the tracks to snap photos.

(What's more, I ended up moving from Owosso to Grand Rapids, where I live now.)
